From a deeper understanding of Fungi and how they work with the human body and our ecosystems, we can dive a bit deeper into our own humanity and discover ways to work with nature to determine how to live a healthier and more sustainable existence.
Cultivating species such as Lion's Mane and Cordyceps, and working closely with The Herbal Mystic in medicinal extracts has given a beautiful perspective on how we can aid ourselves in our own process of healing through using fungi intentionally. These discussions will explore the applications of fungi in projects for humanity as well as the healing properties of mushrooms in our daily lives.
Additionally, through the lens of cultivation, we can explore how to work directly with fungi and bring about a new practice of growing medicine and food for ourselves and our communities.
About JONATHAN
As a student growing up in western medicine, with a B.S in Health Sciences and having worked in a medical laboratory for three years, I became aware of the disconnect that western medicine has with providing holistic healing. Through a self-guided pursuit in mycology, the study of fungi, I was able to connect the dots between laboratory science and providing holistic medicine for myself and my community. I founded Evolved Mushrooms in 2019, which aims at providing education for aspiring mycologists with a strong emphasis in medicinal mushrooms and how they apply to our daily lives.
